Price of a concrete pool by size (2026)
These are the usual price ranges for reinforced-concrete pools with a standard glass-mosaic (gresite) finish, installed in Málaga and the surrounding area:
- 4×2 m pool → €12,000 – €22,000
- 6×3 m pool → €20,000 – €32,000
- 8×4 m pool → €28,000 – €45,000
- 10×5 m pool → €38,000 – €65,000
Note: these prices include excavation, reinforced-concrete structure, filtration system and glass-mosaic lining. They do not include enclosures, external steps, LED lighting, heating or landscaping.
What factors increase the price?
The final price of your pool can rise considerably if you add: a microcement or designer glass-mosaic lining (+20-40%), an infinity pool with overflow edge (+€15,000–30,000), an automatic cover (+€3,000–12,000), LED lighting (+€800–3,000), a heat-pump heating system (+€3,000–8,000), or built-in steps (+€1,500–4,000).
The variable nobody mentions: the ground
The cost of a pool changes radically depending on the type of ground. Rocky ground can double the cost of excavation. Ground with a high water table requires additional waterproofing and drainage. A site with a significant slope — common on the hillsides of the Costa del Sol — may require retaining works that exceed the cost of the pool itself.
Do I need an architect to build a swimming pool?
In Andalusia, pools with a capacity of more than 100 m³ or exceeding certain dimensions generally require a technical project signed by an architect. Even when it is not legally compulsory, a technical project guarantees that the structure is properly calculated and that you will have no problems with the permit or with the property’s insurance.

An 8×4 metre concrete pool on the Costa del Sol usually costs between €28,000 and €45,000. The price varies mainly with the type of lining (standard glass mosaic vs. designer glass mosaic vs. microcement), the filtration system and the extras (LED lighting, cover, heating).
