Our story · Since 2006
More than 20 years building with purpose
Every great project begins with a simple idea: “beauty lies in the simplest solutions”.

Ours was born in 2006, when Juan Goñi Uriarte and Ruth Buján Varela founded Klic Arquitectos in Torremolinos with a clear conviction: that the best architecture is not the most elaborate, but the one that solves things with elegance.

The early years
A small, close-knit studio
We started out taking on renovations and residential projects in Torremolinos and the surrounding area. Every commission, however modest, was met with the same technical rigour and attention to detail that defines our work today. Project by project, we built our reputation on the Costa del Sol.

Growth and specialisation
A multidisciplinary team
Over time, the studio grew to bring together architecture, interior design, and technical and commercial management. That growth allowed us to broaden our services: from basic design and construction projects to AFO legalisations, site management, technical reports and technical (construction) due diligence, giving every client a comprehensive response.
Milestones
Projects that define us

Multi-family housing
Pintor Sorolla 15-17
A residential scheme in Limonar Bajo (Málaga), inspired by Le Corbusier’s Curutchet House, that sums up how we approach contemporary housing.

Heritage
Villa Romana de Cortijo Robledo
Restoring and showcasing a 5th-century AD Roman site in Antequera (Málaga), relocated to make way for a motorway, took us into the field of heritage.

Hospitality · Puente Romano · TYPSA
Our work at Puente Romano and our collaboration with TYPSA marked a turning point in our journey.

Retail · Synergym
The spaces we developed for Synergym show our ability to translate a brand into physical space.

Today and tomorrow
True to our founding idea
More than two decades on, we remain true to that idea, now under the Smart Luxe banner: discreet, intelligent luxury. We work in Málaga city, Torremolinos, Benalmádena and across the Costa del Sol, with the same enthusiasm as on day one.
